We are back!

We are back from Mexico! It was a great trip.........well in the beginning it was. The resort was beautiful, definitly 5 star. We were greated and treated like royalty, like King and Queens. It was great, everything was right at our finger tips. We were greated with ice cold wash cloths and Pina Coladas (nothing like what they call Pina Coladas here, they were awesome, went down like candy). The room was beautiful, all marble.... The pool was great, filled with water falls and fountains, swim up bars, and lined with lounge chairs, there were even lounge chairs in the pools. We layed by the pool for the first couple of days, got a great tan, went swimming in played in the water falls like every hour, just to get out of the hot sun! Then we booked our trip for the Jungle! It was so fun! We went ATV for a little over an hour into the Jungle, and yes we each drove our own, no doubles, then we hike into the jungle for a little over 2 miles, and then we went zip lining. That was so much fun, you go so fast down deeper into the Jungle by just hanging from a little cable, such a rush. After we zip lined we climed down into a cave about 35 feet and went swimming. The water was iced cold, but since the jungle was a little over 120 degrees, the water felt great. After swimming we hiked back out to the ATV and drove back into town. The ride back was kind of scary though because Michael and I got seperated from the group, since my helmet flew off, and we had to drive on these super scary rodes and paths by ourselves. But we made it back safely! We also let baby sea turtles go into the ocean one night. What a once in a lifetime experience. It was so neat holding the baby turtles, they were sooo tiny, and so cute. Of course it reminded me of little Nemo, so I called my turtle Squirt! So neat. Then we got sick, both of us, but since there was a private pool for our room we still got to enjoy the sun a little bit!

Now we are back, but I really want to be back in the resort without being sick.....

The house is moving right along. We have the hole in the wall now from the kitchen into the living room and wow what a difference. So happy we did it, but we have a great planner, so no worries! The duct work is all fabricated now too, so Mike and my Dad keep cutting out the returns and vents and hopefully this weekend we will be able to start putting in the ducts! We have the bathroom painted and the tub looks great now that it is fixed. We might have the colors picked out for all the rooms, but we are still deciding.

We are also going to start tiling this weekend, this should be fun to learn. The house is really starting to feel like home, even though it is still in bare bones. The priming on the walls really made a difference as well. It looks like we have everything in order, which is such a good feeling. I have to figure out when to schedule the carpeting still, but that depends on how quickly we can lay the hardwood flooring and install the cabinets ourselves. The cabinets should be arriving next week, and the counter tops the following week and same with the vanity top!

Time for some much needed sleep!
